If you would rather pick the door, a lockpick from any merchant works on it; the Outlaws' Loot Cave key just removes the dexterity check and the chance to break a pick mid-rotation. The container also drops Ring of Steadfastness, which is worth budgeting an extra inventory slot for the trip.
