High upon the hilles of Archolos growe the goodly grapes for this most wondirfulle wyn. The craft of bringyng this wyn to ripen unto his fulle perfection lyeth in this: that it be nevir stirrid by any motion whatsoevir. It falleth then to the charge of the cellerer to meddyle therwyth the so-callid Common Syos herbe.

Beholde, and marvyle, as the Magister transmuteth the clerist watyrs of the sprynge into wyn most fyne. Alle soules do homage unto him, and alle feste upon his marvylous gyft. Yet woe unto the slothfulle apprentycis: the Magister, in righteous punyshment, imprysoneth them withyn botyles; and lo, from their confinemyntes, fyre lepith forth of its owne accord, and black serpyntes ryse.
